Founded in 1989, the Edmonton and Area Rabbit Club (E.A.R.S.) is a vibrant and passionate community dedicated to the care, breeding, and enjoyment of rabbits. The club was granted its charter status in January 1990, solidifying its role as a key organization in the local rabbit-enthusiast community.
E.A.R.S. was established by a group of dedicated individuals who shared a love for rabbits and a commitment to their well-being. The founding members of the club included Bunny and Ron Felgate, Carol Borys, Guy and Paul Collins, Lois Mercier, Marten Wolf, and Michael Miller. Together, these pioneers laid the foundation for what has become a respected and welcoming community for rabbit owners, breeders, and enthusiasts throughout the Edmonton area.
Since its inception, the club has worked to promote responsible rabbit ownership, host educational events, Sanctioned Rabbit Shows, and provide a supportive network for members. Whether you’re a seasoned rabbit breeder or someone simply interested in learning more about these wonderful creatures, E.A.R.S. offers a platform for members to connect, share knowledge, and celebrate their love for rabbits.
The club’s mission is to continue fostering a positive, supportive environment where all rabbit lovers can come together, learn, and share their experiences. Through regular meetings, events, and a strong sense of camaraderie, E.A.R.S. has become a trusted resource for the rabbit community in Edmonton and beyond.
Join us and be a part of the long-standing tradition of E.A.R.S. as we continue to grow and promote the joy of rabbit ownership!
